It brings me great joy and honour to present this release with two special people. I met Oryo and Makiko when I was in Japan last year. I saw Oryo play her violin with Pressure High and was blown away, and I had been a fan of melodica maestro Makiko for a long time already! I gave them my riddims to add their magic, and the music speaks for itself.

The limited white vinyl 10″ comes in a printed sleeve with the Asanoha pattern (hemp leaf), one of Japan’s most traditional geometric patterns. It symbolises strength, protection, and the resilience to overcome adversity.

On one side, we have Oryo with WAZA; meaning “refined skill”, a technique that is spiritually embodied, implying deep mastery and timing. It represents a state of harmony between mind, body and will. On the other side, we have Makiko with MUSUBI; meaning “connection / binding”, signifying the divine force of creation, growth, and connection. Representing the power that brings things into existence, unites them, and creates harmony.
